# How to get told when a post is ready in the PromoStar mobile app

> Turn on PromoStar mobile notifications to get a phone alert when a planned post is due, then open the Ready now list from the notification.

Open the PromoStar mobile app and tap **Turn on** under **Notifications**. PromoStar then sends your phone a notification when a planned post is ready.

## Turn on notifications

1. Open the PromoStar app from your Home Screen. On iPhone, notifications work only from the Home Screen app. See [Install the PromoStar mobile app](/help/mobile-app/install-the-promostar-mobile-app).
2. Under **Notifications**, tap **Turn on**. Your phone asks for permission. Allow it.
3. The section now reads **Notifications are on for this phone.** Tap **Turn off** any time to stop them.

If PromoStar shows something else in place of **Turn on**, see [Why a notification did not arrive](/help/mobile-app/why-a-notification-did-not-arrive).

## See and remove your phones

On your computer, open Platform Connections. The **Mobile App** card lists each phone with notifications on under **Your phones**, with the date you added it. Select **Remove** next to a phone to stop its notifications. PromoStar confirms with **Phone removed.**

## What the app shows

* **Ready now** lists posts whose time has come. Each card has **Download media**, **Open Reddit**, a field for the Reddit post link, and **Mark Skipped** and **Mark Posted**.
* **Up next** lists posts planned for the next 3 days. Each one moves to **Ready now** when its time comes.
* **History** opens the History tab in Posts.

## The notification

The notification says **A post is ready**. It carries no subreddit, title, or media. Tap it and PromoStar opens the mobile view, scrolls to that post's card, and outlines it.

## One alert per post

* Each post sends one notification to each phone that has notifications on. A second phone gets its own.
* PromoStar does not send it again if you undo marking the post, reschedule it, or turn notifications off and on.
* Posts already due before you turned notifications on do not send one.
* A failed send can lose an alert. **Ready now** still lists the post.
