# How to install the PromoStar mobile app on your phone

> Add the PromoStar mobile app to your iPhone Home Screen from Safari or install it on Android from Chrome, so you can see ready posts and get notifications.

Open PromoStar's mobile view in your phone's browser, then add it to your Home Screen. No app store is involved.

## Open the mobile view

1. On your computer, open Platform Connections and find the **Mobile App** card. The card shows the QR code above and the line **Scan with your phone**.
2. Scan the QR code with your phone's camera. The mobile view opens in the phone's browser. To type the address instead, go to `promostar.app/m`.
3. Sign in if PromoStar asks. You land on the mobile view, which lists your posts under **Ready now** and **Up next**. With nothing planned, it shows **Nothing planned yet**.

## Install on iPhone (Safari)

Use Safari. Notifications on iPhone need iOS 16.4 or later.

1. Tap the Page Menu in Safari, then tap **Share**.
2. Scroll the list and tap **Add to Home Screen**. If you do not see it, scroll to the bottom, tap **Edit Actions**, and add **Add to Home Screen**.
3. Turn on **Open as Web App**, then tap **Add**.
4. Open PromoStar from the new Home Screen icon.

If you open the mobile view in a Safari tab instead of from the Home Screen icon, the Notifications section shows **Add PromoStar to your Home Screen** and no **Turn on** button. That means the app is not installed yet. Follow the steps above.

## Install on Android (Chrome)

1. In Chrome, tap **More** (⋮), then **Install and create shortcut**.
2. Tap **Install** and follow the steps on screen.

Choose **Install**, not **Create shortcut**. A shortcut with the Chrome logo opens in Chrome. If Chrome offers it, PromoStar also shows an **Install app** button in the mobile view.

  The app needs a connection to load your posts. Without one, it shows **Connect to load your posts.**
