# How to use PromoStar to import your RedGifs posts into the Media Library

> Connect your public RedGifs profile under Platform Connections, then run Bulk Import or Import New Posts to bring your RedGifs media into the Media Library.

Open **Connections**, connect your public RedGifs profile, and click **Bulk Import (Public)**. Your public RedGifs posts then arrive in the **Media Library**.

## Steps

1. Click **Connections** in the sidebar. On the **RedGifs** card, click **Connect**. If you are already connected, the button reads **Manage**.
2. Under **Find your RedGifs profile**, type your public username in the **RedGifs username** box and click **Continue**.
3. Check the preview under **Is this your account?**. It shows your avatar, name, handle, and number of public posts. Click **Yes, connect this account**.
4. Click **Bulk Import (Public)**. The page shows **RedGifs media import pending — check back later.** with a percentage once it has a count. You can leave the page while it runs.
5. When the import finishes, **RedGifs media imported** shows the total and the button reads **Bulk Import Completed**. The files are in your Media Library.
6. To bring in later posts, click **Import New Posts**. It checks only for posts added since your last import and is available after the first bulk import.

<Info>
  Imports copy public posts only, and only when you start one. PromoStar does not watch your RedGifs account for new posts.
</Info>

## Good to know

* **Bulk Import (Public)** can run once per connected account.
* One RedGifs job runs at a time. If another is waiting, you see **A RedGifs job is already pending. Check back later.**
* If the page says **The last import did not finish. You can try again.**, start the import again.
* Running an import again does not add a post that is already in your library.
* Imported files arrive marked explicit from their source, with no Safety Lens scan.

## Where processing happens

A PromoStar worker on PromoStar's own server runs the profile lookup and the import. It reaches RedGifs through anonymous public access, so PromoStar does not ask for your RedGifs password. The profile lookup fetches only your profile details. The import downloads each public video, makes a thumbnail, and stores copies on PromoStar's CDN.
